On August 3rd, 2023, CulturaGo hosted a virtual party to celebrate the newest addition to our platform, CulturaSkills. Our latest online course promotes career readiness, inter-identity exploration, and enhances cross-cultural experiences. This launch party not only celebrates but also sheds light on the creation of the course, and the benefits it holds for all those interested in connecting meaningfully across cultures. Connecting Across Differences

The event began on a warm note from our CEO and Co-founder, Liam Kelly, who set the tone for an insightful session by speaking to CulturaGo’s mission – a simple yet incredibly meaningful objective, to empower individuals to connect deeply across differences. This mission echoed through the presentations that followed, hinting at the genuine passion of those behind the creation of the new course.

Inside CulturaSkills:

Our Head of Education, Dr. Marcelo Francioni, led the audience through the creation of CulturaSkills, emphasizing its significance in promoting core career readiness skills, enhancing cross-cultural experiences, and facilitating identity exploration. Marcello further highlighted how the course's uniqueness lies in its emphasis on actionable strategies – further highlighting the importance of practical learning that resonates beyond theoretical concepts.

The Research Behind CulturaSkills:

Timothy Corvidae, a specialist in Intercultural Communication, shared a glimpse into the practical learning principles that form the foundation of CulturaSkills. With great effort invested in creating an accessible yet transformative learning journey, the six principles present learners with a clear path, centered around self-awareness, critical incident analysis, embracing diverse perspectives, and cultivating empathy.

The Student Experience:

Ebony Ellis, our resident Learning Innovation and Partnership Engagement Manager, delved into the symbiotic relationship between CulturaSkills and the Community platform. Ebony painted a picture for attendees of an ecosystem where asynchronous activities and live sessions intertwine, inviting learners to actively participate and collaborate. The platform, promises continuous learning, networking, and support. Through sharing learner insights, Ebony highlighted the real-life impact of the course in fostering cross-cultural understanding, empathy, and effective communication.
